Fanfare for a city -Barcelona 2001- is a piece for brass and percussion. Was commissioned for the presentation of Barcelona’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2001. It's structured in five short, contrasting movements relating to the arts and culture of Barcelona.
This piece was inspired by different images from Classical Rome related to symphonic poetry and is structured in five short episodes.
It is a fantasia about the sea, in which the most important features are the dynamics, nuances and inner forces.
Like works from the Baroque period, it is characterised by its instrumental virtuosity, short structures and highly varied nature.
The Renard Suite is playful piece. Twenty years after its debut, the composer has recently composed an arrangement for wind ensemble with double base. The work consists of five complementary movements and, with no other pretension beyond that of passing a bit of time with live and cheerful music.

The Scherzo sobre un tema popular (1897) is the first important orchestral work of the composer. It was reviewed and re-orchestrated by himself in 1910 and transcribed for band a few years later. This is the actualized adaptation for band.
