The first published edition of this mass was in 1986, with the reproductions of the composer's manuscript. In the 2005's second edition, now digitized, we also wanted to respect his original manuscript by preserving all his indications.
As regards the very detailed dynamics, Homs uses some accentuation signs which are explained in a separated table following the rules of the harmony teacher of the Paris National Music Conservatory, published by H. Lemoine in 1911 and translate by Felip Pedrell.
It must be pointed out that although the written Latin does not carry any written accents, we have been faithful to the manuscript of Homs, who took it from the edition of the De Angelis Mass, published in 1925, in which the accentuation is shown.
