Impromptu núm. 17 by Fleta Polo has no other pretension than to express the composer’s need to make music for the instrumental combination proposed and, above all, to please the musicians to whom the music is dedicated.
These small divertimentos for violin and viola have a medium level of difficulty, and work on them allows to approach to the features of chamber music for duet.
Sonata Concertant has been written by Fleta Polo for the truly essential string instruments: the violin and the viola. In this work, we find them together on an equal standing, with all their similarities and differences yet with the same essential discourse.
